Adapting...

K and I were so incredibly good at capitalizing on these, we lived 45 minutes away from each other and between our hectic work and travel schedules, all we ever really had was the stolen moments on weeknights and the few weekends that we spent trying to get away from everything. With our hours, it was very rare but when we did it was short and sweet...

Fast forward to 6 months of marriage and basically juggling an array of things all at once, it became clear to us both that we need to go back to focusing on us and scheduling the time. It is critical to do this because you can look back and wonder when last you left the comfort of your home and explored your beautiful surroundings.

As time has gone by, K and I have found ourselves finding and using every excuse in the book to keep us holed up in our house or at work, or with family, doing not much other than that. We have become the kind of people that would rather get take out instead of being in a crowd. K and I have decided that this has to stop. We need to stop being home-bodies and venture out into the world... We'll have to start small however, by exploring what's right on our doorstep. Johannesburg is a beautiful city, developing and full of fun things to do, and I hope to use this platform to share our findings not only of JozĂ's little gems, but of South Africa as a whole.

One of the things we plan to do is Gauteng's wine route. Knowing us we'll change our minds on the day, but we live in hope. I think the best thing to do is to purchase the tickets, mitigating the risk of us changing our minds on the day of the event... I'll keep you posted.
